SSBP YOUNG INVESTIGATORS AWARD 2011

sponsored by Eli Lilly (Suisse) SA


In order to support and promote the research of young scientists in the field of biological psychiatry in Switzerland, the Swiss Society of Biological Psychiatry (SSBP) awards CHF 5,000 every year to the best original scientific contribution to the advancement of the treatment and understanding of biological backgrounds of mental disorders. The Award for 2011, generously sponsored by Eli Lilly (Suisse) SA, will be delivered at the SSBP Annual Meeting 2011, which will take place in Lausanne, CHUV, on 28 January 2011. The rules for the Award application are listed below.

Themes: Original experimental or clinical investigations from all disciplines of biological psychiatry research (for instance: epidemiology, genetics, patho- and neurophysiology, neurobiochemistry, drug- and clinical research, etc.).

Author: The author should not be over the age of 40 years and should work and be engaged in scientific projects in Switzerland or should be a Swiss citizen if working in another country. Membership of the SSBP is not a condition for application.

The Award will be delivered during the Award ceremony (14:00 – 14:30) at the Annual Meeting of 28 January 2011. The author should be present and will be invited to give a short presentation (15 min.) summarizing his work.

Application: Please provide a manuscript (max. 20 pages) in English, French or German, or one or more publications illustrating the subject of the research and the results, a Curriculum Vitae and the list of published articles.
